Das Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, HHI sucht leidenschaftliche Student Assistants für die Forschungsgruppe „Immersive Media & Communication“ im Bereich Vision & Imaging Technologies (VIT). Hier stehen innovative Technologien im Mittelpunkt, um die digitale Gesellschaft von morgen zu gestalten.

In einem spannenden Umfeld, das sich auf mobile und optische Kommunikationsnetzwerke spezialisiert hat, entwickelst du neue Methoden der interaktiven 3D-Visualisierung. Deine Arbeiten werden in VR und AR Anwendungen für die medizinische Technologie und industrielle Anwendungen umgesetzt.

Was du tun wirst?
Du wirst an der Entwicklung und Implementierung neuer Algorithmen für die Asset- und Modellerstellung sowie für Szenen-Design und visuelle Effekte arbeiten. Außerdem wirst du AR/VR-Anwendungen entwickeln. Dein technisches Wissen in C++ und C# kommt hier voll zum Einsatz. Der Umgang mit der 3D-Entwicklungsengine Unity3D ist ebenso wichtig. Wenn du auch Kenntnisse in der Unreal Engine hast, ist das ein Plus!

Was bringst du mit?
Du solltest Vollzeitstudent an einer deutschen Hochschule sein – idealerweise in den Bereichen Computer Vision, Computer Graphics oder Medieninformatik. Teamarbeit und strukturierte, selbstständige Arbeitsweise sind für dich selbstverständlich. Außerdem verfügst du über sehr gute Englischkenntnisse und bist bereit, in Berlin vor Ort zu arbeiten.

The Fraunhofer HHI is a world leader in research into mobile and optical communication networks and systems as well as the coding of video signals and data processing. We are looking for student assistants for the research group „Immersive Media & Communication“ in the department „Vision & Imaging Technologies (VIT)“. In our national and European research projects, we develop new methods of interactive 3D visualisation and demonstrate our technologies in virtual reality and augmented reality applications for digital and immersive media as well as for medical technology and industrial applications. For the development and implementation of new algorithms in the field of 3D model generation, scene design and visual effects and in the development of AR/VR applications, we are looking for committed, independently working students to support our team.
