Der Öffentliche Dienst bietet eine spannende Möglichkeit für Doctoral Researchers am Deutschen Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ) in Baden-Württemberg. Im Rahmen der Initiative „Research for a life without cancer“ sucht das DKFZ bis zu sechs vollständig finanzierte Positionen im Bereich Data Science & Health. Die Mission des DKFZ ist es, die Entstehung von Krebs zu verstehen, Risikofaktoren zu identifizieren und innovative Präventionsstrategien zu entwickeln.
Wer an der Schnittstelle von künstlicher Intelligenz und Gesundheitsforschung interessiert ist, wird hier fündig. Das Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, das DKFZ und die Heidelberg Universität haben sich zusammengeschlossen, um in einem einzigartigen Doktorandenprogramm herausragende Talente zu fördern.
Die Projekte erstrecken sich über verschiedene Themen, wie etwa Imaging & Diagnostics und Personalisierte Medizin. Von der Entdeckung von Zellinteraktionen in der multikanaligen Bildflusszytometrie bis hin zur Robotik in medizinischen Anwendungen – die Möglichkeiten sind vielfältig. Interessierte Wissenschaftler sollten einen Masterabschluss in Informatik, Mathematik, Ingenieurwesen oder einem verwandten Gebiet besitzen, idealerweise bis Oktober 2025.
Das DKFZ bietet nicht nur eine inspirierende Arbeitsumgebung, sondern auch eine strukturierte Ausbildung in wissenschaftlichen und professionellen Fähigkeiten. Finanzielle Unterstützung für Konferenzen und Forschungszusammenarbeiten ist ebenfalls vorgesehen. Zudem genießen die Forscher ein attraktives Gehalt gemäß den geltenden Tarifen.
